What do like most about playing at SXSW?
It seems so chaotic and impossible to manage, but somehow friends show up at all the shows, and we find a way to go to all of theirs. You can see people perform in unlikely places, wearing no shoes (we would never!) and sunglasses. We like keeping it simple and chasing our friends around.

OnlineRock's March update features artists who will be playing at SXSW, panels that we'll be involved with and information on a day party that we will be sponsoring. the SXSW Music and Media Conference has grown into the must-attend networking event for the 21st century music industry. Showcasing nearly 2,000 musical acts from around the globe at over 80 stages in downtown Austin, SXSW registrants have a first-look at tomorrow's stars. By day, managers, labels, promoters, press, internet media outlets, artists and other business professionals conduct business in the SXSW Trade Show. Conference registrants also partake in a full agenda of provocative, informative panel discussions and celebrity interviews featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature.

What do like most about playing at SXSW?
Seeing and being around all these other bands and musicians. The heat is awesome too I am not a cold person and I really enjoy getting some warmth in the middle/end of winter. I just love having everything in thi compact little area and being able to just wander and meander with so many different people all day and night. I like the river too, that's my favorite spot.

Two great things about SXSW are being able to stumble upon great new bands from all over the world and seeing friends from around the country in the same place.

What do like most about playing at SXSW?
Free beer! No, seriously... Almost all the world is in one (warm and sunshiny) place for one week, so you inevitably run into 50 people you haven't seen in a year (or more), 30 people you've never met in person but have emailed or chatted with on the phone, and have made at least 10 new friends by the week's end. The world is so small and inter-connected anyway. And SXSW really intensifies that fact. All the great music and delicious Mexican food is just a bonus.

Catching up with friends. Despite the chaos, it's nice to have the chance to see so many people all at once.
Are you out promoting anything?
Right after SXSW we'll be kicking off a nationwide tour with our friends and Austin natives Shearwater. They have a new record on the way and it's excellent. At some point in the spring we'll also be releasing a new EP, more info on that forthcoming.
